Decided to do another Miyazaki fan art piece, this time from Princess Mononoke! My favorite character was Moro so I had to get her in the scene. Tried a different look for both characters - I hope you enjoy
OMG I loved this movie the first second I saw it I remember it was when I went over to my closest friend's house for a sleep oer and she said I would love this movie and so I did but I never knew I would find this!
(I have a feeling I commented here before) Ahh, I LOVE this movie *_* And I love this painting! It looks so genuine, colorful, and the contrast of the clouds and the characters, including the shadows, are fantastic! The purples and blues are very cool, and add a lot of life to the piece!
Ooooh, and I agree - Moro was f***ing awesome The instant she appeared I knew she will become my favorite character by the end of the movie (I think that way now; I don't think I held a lot of emotion for the film when I mistakenly saw it when I was 12, and didn't expect ANYTHING that happened in it; including the gore, and the dark materials, which kind of disturbed me, lol. Dang parents for not checking what was in it beforehand...Though I seemed to be at an ok age to watch it; or maybe I was just a pansy xD I do remember loving Moro, however, so I still liked the film in a way, just not nearly as much as I do to this day (Now that I've come to appreciate, as well as embrace the inner strength and beauty of the film itself)
But while I didn't like it that much at that age, over time now that I've matured and all, it has now become my 2nd favorite Miyazaki film; The 1st being Spirited Away (Which the dragon, oddly enough resembles a particular character from his older film; Princess Mononoke - That said character being Moro, though I saw 'Away' (It was my first anime, as well as Miyazaki film I had ever watched), along with many more Miyazaki films before 'Mononoke', that being the last one in a series of Miyazaki rentals until Ponyo, which was a CUTE film I haven't seen the latest ones yet, but being an animation fan, I should definitely look into them soon.
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm glad you like the piece This film is what really got me into Miyazaki's work. I saw it at the theater not knowing too much about what it was going to be and I was blown away
