Commission Info

Journal Entry: Tue Aug 14, 2012, 12:44 PM

(1) Chibi Commissions are CLOSED

(2) Digital Paining Commissions are CLOSED

Commissions are closed for a while!

I apologize to anyone waiting for commissions to open, but they will have to remain closed for a while.  Due to a busy convention preparation schedule, I will need to keep my schedule clear for a while.  I will make a notice on my journal when commissions are open again.  I apologize for the inconvenience!

For more examples, see my commission gallery!

MENU:

(1) Chibi Commissions - 2500 points Points -or- $25

A digital painting of your character in my chibi style on a transparent background!

Aether by TsaoShinVesuvius by TsaoShinLittle Sven by TsaoShinDasek by TsaoShinSwiftclick by TsaoShin

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Chibi commissions are digital paintings in my chibi style of a single character with a transparent background in PNG format.  These commissions are an interpretation of your character realized in my style so the colors, style, and anatomy may change from your reference.

In order to speed up the process, I typically do not provide a draft or drawing updates with a chibi commission.  However, I may provide one if I have questions about the pose or accuracy of your character.  If you require a draft, please make sure to request one but note that it will add process time and delay a final product.

All chibi commission pieces will not bear my signature unless requested.

PROCESS:

Use the Commissions Widget on my profile page to request a chibi commission: tsaoshin.deviantart.com

-OR- If you want to pay via PayPal instead of with points, send me a note with your request!

Be sure to include a character sheet, references, or descriptions of your character!  Time lapse video recordings of the painting process available on request.

I will begin your drawing after accepting the Commission Request/when I receive the PayPal payment.  I will send a note to inform you that I have received payment and an estimate on how long it will take me to deliver your final drawing.  Typically, chibi commissions will take 1-2 weeks depending on my current queue.

Once I am finished, I will upload the painting to my commission gallery and send you a note!

AVAILABILITY:

Due to demand, chibi commissions are open for a short span at the beginning of each month.  When my queue is full, I close the commissions until the beginning of the next month.  The best time to check availability is the first week of the month!

(2) Digital Painting - $200+

A fully rendered digital painting - the full shebang!  Price may go up due to complexity, backgrounds, additional characters and style.

Please feel free to discuss pricing with me so that I can provide you a more accurate quote for costs.

I don't take graphic design commissions.  I do this all day at work.  I want to do something different at home!

When commissioning me, remember to look at my gallery to see where my strengths are.  I prefer fantasy, animals, creatures, and organic elements.  Sci-fi, city scenes, mechanical, and robotics are my weaker topics so I may reject a commission of this nature especially if I feel that I will not do it justice.  Adult topics are acceptable if they are not disrespectful.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

All digital commissions include the final high-resolution finished image in JPG, PNG, or TIF (flattened) format. All drawings default at 8.5"x11" at 300 DPI unless requested otherwise or if the composition dictates a difference.   Sizes greater than 20" on one edge may incur additional fees.

All digital commission pieces will not bear my signature unless requested.

You may build upon, color, and alter any sketch or lineart you receive in your commission package.  You may also display the commission and versions of the commissions you have built upon in your personal gallery so long as credit is given to me as the original author of your image.

PROCESS:

Contact me via a note or email with your commission request.  Please be as accurate as possible about your needs.  It helps to include your own sketches and references.

I will provide a pricing quote and finalize details.

Once payment is received, I will create a loose draft of your idea and provide a thumbnail.  This is the time to make the most dramatic changes and alterations if necessary (poses, setting, additions, etc).

If no alterations are made, I will move on and provide a cleaned up version with loose colors.  This is the time to make minor alterations.  If any major changes are made at this point forward, it may incur additional fees.

Once approved, I will finish the painting and provide one more thumbnail when I'm finished for final touch ups (very minor additions such as glows, color modification, background elements) before sending the final high-resolution version.

PAYMENT:

I accept payments through PayPal only.  Prices are in USD.

I will issue a full refund if I cancel your commission.

If you cancel a commission with me and work has been started, I will provide said work at its current stage of completion with no refund.  When you commission me, you are not only paying for a product but also to be placed into my schedule.

Payment is due after I send you a quote.  I will not start work until payment is made.

TERMS:

I reserve the right to decline or cancel any commission for any reason.

I retain the rights as the original author of your commission.  I may display the final product, drafts, and concepts included in the process of creating your commission as examples of my work in personal galleries including deviantART.  If this is the case, I will credit you as my commissioner and author of characters (where applicable) unless privacy is requested.

After final payments, I will not seek additional profits from your commission nor will I physically distribute or profit from sales of hard copies of your final product.

If you intend to use the commission commercially and/or profit from it, you must sign agreements of release with me.

Thanks for your interest!

Hello-- I realize that your chibi commissions are closed at the moment, but I had a question:

Do you only do chibi commish's for OCs, or do you accept fanart as well? Like, for example: Pumbaa from Lion King?

[And I'd also like to say that your art is incredible <3 I love your grumpy cat/Disney scenes-- they always make me laugh. XD]

I'm sorry they've been closed for so long.  I'm hoping to get some time after Awesome Con to do a small run of commissions.  I'll be sure to announce it in a journal post :)
